A total of 15 block parties are planned for National Night Out in Storm Lake on Tuesday, August 2nd.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnership and helps make neighborhoods safe, caring places to live. National Night Out is celebrated across the country on the first Tuesday of August.
The Storm Lake Police Department has been participating in National Night Out since 1990. Storm Lake firefighters and emergency medical staff also take part, visiting the block parties around Storm Lake.
