Juvenile Female Arrested (now released) for Drug Paraphernalia, Among Other Charges in Clay County

Last Saturday, June 3rd, a traffic stop was initiated by a Clay County Deputy on a vehicle half a mile west of Hwy 71 and Hwy 10. While approaching the vehicle, the Deputy smelled an odor of marijuana coming from it. After investigating further, it was determined that drug paraphernalia and vape products were located inside.

A 17-year-old juvenile female was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Clay County Jail. She was cited in Magistrate Court for Violation of Conditions of a Minors School License and Minor in Possession of Tobacco, both simple misdemeanors.

The juvenile female was also cited in Juvenile Court for P.C.S. – Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. She was processed through the Clay County Jail and has since been released to her mother.
