The Jack Links beef jerky-making company plans to lay off nearly a hundred employees at its distribution facility in Laurens.
According to a listing on the Iowa Workforce Development’s WARN website, 91 employees in the transportation and warehousing areas will be laid off, effective January 24th of next year. The workers were notified yesterday (Mon). A company statement says a restructuring of its operations led to the decision to downsize the facility in Laurens. Affected employees can apply for positions at the Jack Links facility in Underwood.
State records indicate 46 workers at the Jack Links facility in Laurens were laid off last year, and 57 were laid off in 2022.
