Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig on Tuesday toured the Platinum Crush soybean crushing plant that’s under construction between Storm Lake and Alta.
Naig called it a “beautiful facility”…
Naig said the project is a good example of a public and private sector partnership…
Naig grew up in Cylinder, and is a Buena Vista University graduate…
Iowa Senate district representative Lynn Evans and District House Representative Megan Jones also toured the plant. Naig’s visit to Buena Vista County was part of his annual tour to all of Iowa’s 99 counties. Naig also made a stop Tuesday at the grand opening of the new meat locker in Cherokee.
The BV County soybean crushing plant is scheduled to become operational in the spring of next year.
