Iowa DOT Taking Public Comments on Proposed Pocahontas County Bridge Replacement

The Iowa Department of Transportation is taking comments from the public about a planned bridge replacement in Pocahontas County.

The project will be on the Iowa Highway 15 bridge over Pilot Creek. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027. Traffic will be detoured during construction. The proposed detour would follow Pocahontas County Roads C-26 and 290th Avenue to and from the junctions of Iowa 15. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The Iowa DOT is taking public feedback on the project until next Monday, February 3rd. Questions can be directed to the Iowa DOT District 3 Office in Sioux City. Call 712-276-1451.
