The City of Storm Lake is planning its first downtown concert event next month.
The Downtown Jam show featuring Cory Waller and the Wicked Things will start at 7pm on August 10th. The band was nominated for Midwest Country Music Association Band of the Year. Waller grew up in rural Iowa.
The outdoor concert on August 10th will be held in the Erie Street parking lot D in downtown Storm Lake between Railroad and 5th Streets. The surrounding block of Erie Street will be closed for the evening. Local food trucks are invited to bring their fare to the event.
Storm Lake’s recently completed Downtown Master Plan aims to make the area a destination and gathering place.
