An Illinois man was taken into custody this week in connection to a burglary incident in Storm Lake late last month.
On Friday, October 6th, Storm Lake Police were called to the 500 Block of Terrence Street in Storm Lake after a report of a belated burglary. After investigating further, officers allege that on the evening of September 30th, a male entered the residence without permission. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Justin Curry of Rochelle, Illinois stole several items and also caused damage.
Officers applied for a warrant for Curry’s arrest for 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony. Officers were notified on Monday of this week that Curry was taken into custody on the Storm Lake warrants in Rochelle, Illinois. Curry was held pending extradition to Buena Vista County on charges.
