Iowa Farm Bureau members gathered this week in Des Moines for the organization’s 106th annual meeting and county leadership conference.
Nine delegates were elected to represent Iowa at the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas January 24th through the 29th including Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President Brent Johnson of Calhoun County, along with Brad Black of Calhoun County.
Coltin Schachtner Kramer of Pocahontas County was selected as the runner-up finisher of IFBF’s Young Farmer Discussion Meet, and receives a one-thousand dollar cash prize from IFBF, and a 500 dollar cash prize from GROWMARK. Participants in the Young Farmer Discussion Meet are scored based on their ability to engage in a “cooperative discussion on challenges affecting agriculture.
