Heat index values of up to 103 are expected.
The National Weather Service advises citizens to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances, and especially in these conditions.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. If possible, reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or evening. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
