Gas Prices Up Significantly in Recent Days

Gas and diesel prices in Iowa has risen more than 20 cents in the last week.

According to Triple A, a gallon of unleaded in the state is averaging $3.60, which is up 23 cents from a week ago. The average price in Buena Vista County is $3.57, and that’s the price at several Storm Lake pumps as of late this (Mon) morning. A year ago at this time, a gallon of unleaded was averaging $3.88.

Diesel in Iowa right now is averaging $3.85 per gallon, which is up approximately 22 cents in the last week, and 25 cents higher compared to a month ago. Diesel statewide was averaging $4.94 per gallon one year ago.
