The former Executive Director of Storm Lake United has taken over as the new Executive Director of the Sustainable Iowa Land Trust.
Breanna Horsey began her new role on Monday of this week. The Sustainable Iowa Land Trust, also known as SILT, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to secure, preserve, and steward threatened farmland to ensure that future generations of farmers have access to Iowa land to produce healthy food in the most sustainable ways possible.
Earlier this month, it was announced by Storm Lake United Board President Brooke Sievers that Horsey would be stepping down from her Executive Director position to pursue other career opportunities. Horsey was the SLU Executive Director for a little over a year.
Last week, Storm Lake United Marketing and Activities Director Fletcher Kucera was named Interim Executive Director while efforts are made to permanently fill the position.
