Float registrations are being taken for the holiday parade as part of the annual “Miracle on Lake Avenue” in Storm Lake.
“Miracle on Lake Avenue” will be held on Thursday, December 7th starting at 5:30pm, with the parade at 6:15 that evening. Local businesses, organizations, and schools are encouraged to participate in the parade and enter a float. To sign up, contact City of Storm Lake Communications Coordinator Dana Larsen at 732-8000, email communications@stormlake.org, or stop by Storm Lake City Hall.
Local merchants will be offering sales, special promotions, and entertainment as part of “Miracle on Lake Avenue.” Participating businesses will be listed on Storm Lake United’s Facebook page and Instagram channel.
Hot cocoa and festive treats will also be offered during the event. Warming stations will be available. Santa’s Castle will also be open. The Castle has been undergoing significant reorganization, and will be showcasing displays this year that haven’t been seen by the public in decades.
