Property taxes were one of the topics at Saturday’s Legislative Forum in Storm Lake.
State Senator Lynn Evans said patrons have brought up their desire for lower property taxes at most forums he’s attended over the last three years…
Evans said there may be some changes on Education Savings Accounts moving forward, and discussions have already taken place. He doesn’t anticipate they will be taken away in the near future.
State Representative Megan Jones said the state is very well equipped to respond quickly to natural disasters such as the flooding in northwest Iowa last summer.
Two more legislative forums are scheduled in Storm Lake on March 15th and April 12th at 10am at King’s Pointe Resort.
