A structure and its contents at a golf course in Breda are a total loss due to a fire.
According to the Breda fire chief, the department received a call of an explosion at the golf course around 11:30 Thursday morning. Upon the arrival of fire fighters, they did not notice any damage to the outside of the building, but smoke was billowing from within it.
The shed that was destroyed contained around 30 electric and gas golf carts. The sound of the explosion was believed to be from the batteries or tires of the golf carts.
The fire is estimated to have caused 250-thousand dollars in damage. There were no reported injuries. The Auburn Fire Department was among the agencies that assisted. The agencies were on the scene a little over two hours.
