A two-day farm succession workshop is happening in Holstein during the month of February.
The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th and the following Thursday, February 22nd from 6 to 9pm at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites in Holstein. The event is being put on by the Buena Vista, Cherokee, and Ida County Extension offices.
The workshop is designed to provide an overview of farm estate planning, including legal and realistic guidance for creating your own unique farm succession plan. Topics include estate planning, setting goals, implementing your plan, gift and estate taxes, and having the succession conversation with your family. The workshop will provide resources that participants can use for future planning.
The program costs 20 dollars per person or 30 dollars per couple. Space is limited. Refreshments will be provided.
