Fall Master Gardener Training Offered in Area Counties

Applications are being accepted for ISU Extension Master Gardner training programs this fall.

Northwest Iowa counties offering the training include Cherokee and O’Brien. Iowans wanting to complete Master Gardener training choose a county to complete the training through, participate in online learning modules, and attend at least four in-person training sessions organized by the county office. After completing the ten-week training, participants enter in a 40-hour internship in their training county.

Master Gardeners are volunteers who use research-based information to educate people and coordinate projects that promote healthy communities. Applications for the fall session are available through August 18th. Training begins on September 5th. Contact your local Extension office for more information or to sign up.
