Everly Woman Arrested for Child Endangerment

An Everly woman was arrested this past weekend on multiple charges, including OWI and child endangerment.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy initiated a stop for a traffic violation shortly after 1 am on Sunday (July 30th) in the 4600 mile of HWY 71. The deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and observed open containers in the vehicle. The driver, 33-year-old Jasmine Withers, was arrested after she was put through field sobriety tests.

Withers was charged with Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor…1st Offense Operating While Intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor…Open Container, a simple misdemeanor. Withers was booked into the Clay County Jail. The male front passenger was cited for Open Container and released from custody.
