Everly Man Charged With Unlawful Use of a Credit Card

An Everly man was arrested over the weekend for illegal use of a debit card.

Last Monday afternoon July 11th, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office says they received a complaint that an individual’s debit card was unlawfully used. Following an investigation, it is believed that the card was unlawfully used by 36-year-old Alexander Plemmons of Everly.

This past Saturday afternoon, Plemmons was arrested at the Everly City Park. He was charged with Unlawful Use of a Credit/Debit Card, an aggravated misdemeanor…and 5th Degree Theft, a simple misdemeanor. Plemmons was booked into the Clay County Jail on a two-thousand dollar bond.
