Early/Nemaha American Legion Post Donates to Playground Improvement Project

The Merton V. Hair American Legion Post, comprised of members from Early and Nemaha, has donated five-thousand dollars to the Early Achievers 4-H Club’s playground improvement project.

According to a news release, the contribution will help fund the installation of a poured-in place rubber surface beneath the playground equipment and swings at the 3rd Street City Park in Early. The 4-H Club has raised 41 thousand dollars towards their 62 thousand dollar goal.

In addition to supporting youth programs, the Merton V. Hair Post actively participates in various community initiatives.
