Driver Injured in O’Brien County Semi Rollover Accident

A man was injured this past Friday morning when a semi he was driving rolled in O’Brien County.

According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Zachary Espey of May City was driving the semi eastbound on Highway 18 about two miles west of Hartley and was attempting to make a turn when the semi-tractor and trailer loaded with dried distillers grain overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the ditch, spilling some of the contents.

Espey was taken by ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Hospital. Damage to the Freightliner was estimated at 50-thousand dollars. Espey was cited for failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper level.
