Disaster Proclamation Issued for Northwest Iowa counties in Response to Severe Storms/Flooding

Governor Reynolds has declared a disaster emergency proclamation in 21 counties in response to severe storms and flooding that occurred Friday.

The counties include Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, O’Brien, and Pocahontas.

The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the severe weather effects, and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program.
