Community of Palmer Receives Water Quality Project Grant

18 communities, including a local one, have been awarded a total of more than eight million dollars in grants to advance water quality projects.

The community of Palmer is receiving a 500 thousand dollar grant to go toward a drinking water project. The total cost of the project is over 1.5 million dollars.

The funding is made available through the Wastewater and Drinking Water Treatment Financial Assistance Program. The Wastewater program has assisted 82 communities through a total of 34 million dollars in water quality grants since the first awards were granted in 2019.
