Clay County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

Three women were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Clay County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy could smell marijuana after pulling over the vehicle in the 26-hundred mile of Highway 18. A vehicle search resulted in the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

26-year-old Ebonee Richard of Gulfport, Mississippi…26-year-old Breeanna Clark of Colfax, Louisiana…and 21-year-old Artisha Wheaton of Heidelberg, Mississippi were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana… and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Richard was also cited for speeding. All three women were released after they each posted one-thousand dollar bonds.
