Clay County Fair Announces Flood Recovery Fundraiser

The Clay County Fair announces a new opportunity for fairgoers to support flood recovery efforts in Clay County.

Fairgoers purchasing tickets to the Clay County Fair online can now donate to aid the communities affected by the flooding in June. Click here to make a donation. Along with online contributions, those attending the Fair will find donation opportunities throughout the fairgrounds in Spencer. A news release states that the Clay County Fair is committed to supporting the local community, especially in times of need.

During flood recovery efforts, the Clay County Events Center served as a temporary shelter in partnership with the Red Cross, the Tower Gate Pavilion became a recovery center for FEMA operations, the north parking lot was designated as a temporary collection center for flood debris, and the campground will serve as an RV Park for temporary housing.

The Clay County Fair runs from September 7th through September 15th.
