Cherokee Man Enters Guilty Plea to Federal Meth Charge

A Cherokee man pleaded guilty this week to a federal drug charge.

54-year-old Jeffery Linn entered the plea on Monday in U.S. District Court in Sioux City to the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute.

During a traffic stop on December 6th of last year, law enforcement seized approximately ten ounces of meth that Linn planned to distribute. According to authorities, Linn attempted to swallow some of the drug to avoid being arrested.

A pre-sentence report must be completed before Linn is sentenced. He remains in the custody of federal officials.
