Cherokee County Emergency Management Shares Flooding Update

Cherokee County Emergency Management this (Mon) morning reported a drop in river levels.

The City of Cherokee and areas north of Cherokee are heavily flooded. An update stated that water pushed up into Mill Creek overnight, so it will take some time for that to clear out. All bridges in Cherokee County remain closed. Check for updates on the Cherokee County Iowa Roads Department Facebook page.

City water wells are up and pumping, and there is no threat to the water system at this time. Water conservation is requested.
