Calhoun County Among Several Additional Declared Disaster Area

Governor Reynolds has issued a disaster emergency proclamation for ten additional counties, including Calhoun, in response to severe weather that occurred on Tuesday.

The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of severe weather and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program for the affected counties.

Buena Vista, Clay, O’Brien, and Palo Alto were among several previously designated as disaster areas by the governor.
