The Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake is among over 20 hospitals in Iowa that have received a top rating for physician communication.
Becker’s Hospital Review has compiled a list of the best hospitals for physician communication in every state using Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data. The physician communication star rating combines data from three survey questions, and sums up how well patients feel that their physicians explained things clearly, listened carefully to them, and treated them with courtesy and respect.
Along with BVRMC, the Cherokee Regional Medical Center also received a five-star review in this study. The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients from July 2021 through June 2022.
