The Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors this (Tues) morning approved a 28E Cooperative Agreement for a competitive Highway Bridge Program Grant Project.
The federal grant money would go toward replacing the bridge a mile south of Highway 3 on county road M-50, just north of 540th Street.

Applications were limited to one bridge per county. Wilkinson said the bridge on M-50 scored highest for this particular federal grant. He estimated the bridge replacement cost at 700 thousand dollars. The grant could pay for up to 80 percent of the project cost.
Buena Vista County will be bundled with Ida County for one of their structure projects.
