BV County Early Voting Updates; Auditor’s Office Will be Open Saturday to Cast Ballots

As general election absentee voting continues, a reminder that the Buena Vista County Auditor’s Office in Storm Lake will be open for early in-person voting tomorrow (Sat) from 9am to 5pm.

BV County Auditor Sue Lloyd says they have received over 26 hundred absentee ballots as of Thursday.

Monday is the last day to vote early in-person. Hours at the BV Auditor’s Office at 317 East 5th Street in Storm Lake Monday will be 8am to 4:30pm. A photo ID is required if you plan to vote in-person at your county auditor’s office, or at a precinct on Election Day Tuesday. If voters are not registered or need to change their address and their photo ID doesn’t show their current address, they must also bring a utility bill, tax statement, or something else that shows they receive mail addressed to them at their address.

Storm Lake voting locations on Election Day include the Auditor’s Office, BV County Engineer’s Building, St. Mark Lutheran Church, and the Storm Lake Public Library. Find your polling location on the Secretary of State’s website. Polls will be open Tuesday from 7am to 8pm.
