A Monarch Tagging Program will be held this coming Saturday, September 9th at 2pm in the north area of the Buena Vista County Conservation Park in Peterson.
Participants will join the BV County naturalist to get up close and personal with monarch butterflies. Everyone will get an opportunity to tag a monarch. Tagging monarchs is part of an ongoing research project with the University of Kansas to track migrating monarchs. The decline of monarch butterflies will also be discussed.
