Buena Vista County Conservation’s annual Fall Fun Day is scheduled for this coming weekend.
The event will happen this Saturday, October 14th from 1 to 3pm at the Timber Ridge Campground at the BV County Conservation Park in Peterson. Several family activities are planned including trick-or-treating in the campground, a hike on the nature trail, and games including turtle racing, pumpkin bowling, dig for prizes, and more. The Witter Gallery will also be on hand for face painting. The hike will begin at 1pm, and a live raptor release will be held at 2pm.
Attendees are welcome to come dressed in a costume, but are asked to have appropriate shoes if they plan to go on the hike. The hike may be canceled if trail conditions are poor.
The BV Conservation Fall Fun Day is free of charge. Contact the conservation office with questions at 712-295-7985.
