Buena Vista County Resident Inducted into Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame

A Buena Vista County resident was recently inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.

Amber Kragel was inducted on August 18th during a ceremony at the 4-H Exhibits Building as part of the Iowa State Fair. Inductees or their surviving family members were presented a certificate by the Iowa 4-H Foundation president and the State 4-H Program Leader as they were inducted on stage.

Kragel has been a part of the Buena Vista County 4-H program for 15 years, and has been a Poultry Superintendent for more than ten years. Kragel started the Special Poultry project approximately six years ago, using her own poultry to allow BV County 4-Hers and Clover Kids unable to own livestock the opportunity to show poultry at the fair.

93 Iowa counties participated this year and selected 125 inductees into the 4-H Hall of Fame for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H.
