Iowa Lottery players won a total of over 47 thousand prizes in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
The prizes ranged from four dollars up to 100 thousand dollars. Four Iowa tickets matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball to each win a 50 thousand dollar prize. Two of the players who bought those tickets added the Power Play option to their purchase, which multiplied their winnings to 100 thousand dollars each. One of the 100 thousand dollar winning tickets was purchased at the Country Store in Manson.
Those four prizes can be claimed at any Iowa Lottery office, one of which is located in Storm Lake.
Wednesday’s billion-dollar Powerball jackpot was won with a ticket purchased in California. The Mega Millions grand prize this Friday is estimated at 720 million dollars.
