Approximately eight to 12 Wergin Farm Good Neighbor awards have been given each year for the last two decades. The Bergs are the recipient of the 174th Wergin award overall. This is the 6th family in Sac County to receive the award, the most out of all of Iowa’s counties.
The Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award is made possible in part by the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers. Nominees must be a family operation, active in their community, produce livestock to the highest animal care standards, and be dedicated to conservation and/or environmental stewardship on their land.
