A Battle Creek man was sentenced Monday in Sac County District Court to serve 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a child.
26-year-old Loren Wilson was sentenced for sexually abusing a ten-year-old child in Sac City on December 26th of 2022. A jury found Wilson guilty back on August 24th following a three-day trial. He was found guilty of committing 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, a class B felony…and Lascivious Acts With a Child, a class C felony.
Wilson received the maximum term of incarceration. He must serve 70 percent of the 25-year prison sentence before he becomes eligible for parole. Wilson was also placed on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life.
The case was investigated by the Sac City Police Department and the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, and was prosecuted by Sac County Attorney Ben Smith.
