(UPDATE…Amy has reportedly been located and is safe)
Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Sac City woman.
According to the Sac City Police Department, a welfare check was requested by family and friends yesterday (Mon) for 44-year-old Amy Lyn Heitman. The last known contact with Amy was at 9:36pm Monday as she was reportedly having car trouble, but would not answer the phone or share her location. Attempts by law enforcement to make contact with Amy or to locate her have been unsuccessful.
Sac City Police reported this (Tues) morning that Amy may be in the Laurens/Pocahontas County area. Any information on Amy Heitman should be directed to the Sac City Police Department at 712-662-7772.
Amy drives a black 1992 Chrysler Lebaron with plate number “OQV 268.” She is 5’2”, 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
