There was a heightened police presence in the 700 block of Geneseo Street in Storm Lake this (Mon) morning.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers responded to an assault involving a machete around 6:30 this (Mon) morning near 7th and Ontario Streets. The suspect was apprehended at a residence in the 700 block of Geneseo Street, and is now in custody. According to a statement released by Storm Lake Police, this was an isolated incident, and the suspect and victim are known to each other. More information is expected to be released later today (Mon).
