A northwest Iowa hospital will be closing its doors in September.
Officials with MercyOne site economic and workforce challenges as the primary factors behind the decision to close the hospital in Primghar. Clinics MercyOne operates in Sutherland, Paullina and Primghar will also be consolidated into one which will be located in Primghar.
O’Brien County Economic Development Director Kianna Johnson says a committee has been formed to explore possible options.
