An Alta woman has been arrested for committing multiple thefts earlier this year from the Storm Lake Hy-Vee.
According to a press release, the Storm Lake Police Department was called to the local Hy-Vee store back on October 16th regarding a belated report of theft of merchandise by a customer. Following an investigation, police allege the suspect, 37-year-old Emily Holliday of Alta, committed thefts on 12 occasions from June 23rd to October 16th of this year, which resulted in a loss of 17-hundred 50 dollars in merchandise.
On Tuesday of this week, Holliday surrendered herself at the Storm Lake Police Department and was charged with 2nd Degree Theft, a class D felony. Holliday was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a five-thousand dollar bond.
