An Alta man has been arrested in connection to a break-in at a convenience store in Aurelia last month.
Shortly before 2am on September 14th, a suspect gained entry to the Casey’s store in Aurelia by breaking the front door glass. The suspect took a large number of menthol cape cartridges before fleeing the store.
This past Sunday, 18-year-old Anthony Esquivel of Alta was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at his residence. Items related to the burglary were reportedly found in the residence. Esquivel was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Theft, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief, and Possession of Burglar Tools.
The Aurelia Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Buena Vista and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Offices.
