70 Units of Blood Collected at LifeServe Drives in Storm Lake in July

70 units of blood were collected during two LifeServe Blood Center blood drives in Storm Lake this month.

The blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and over 120 other hospitals that are served by LifeServe. The amount of blood donated has the ability to save up to 210 local lives.

Donors who hit milestones with the most recent donation include…Kimberly McCleary with seven gallons of blood donated…Bruce Milbrandt six gallons…Matthew Forristal two gallons…and Beverly Miller, Lynette Goodman, and Luke Prederickson all reached one gallon of blood donated.

There are two blood drives scheduled in Storm Lake during the month of August, including Tuesday, August 2nd from 12:30 to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church…and Friday, August 19th from 9am to 1pm at the United Methodist Church. Text “LIFESERVE” to 999-777 to schedule your next appointment.
