Jerome Roberts Sentenced To 12 Years

On February 24th, 2020, Jerome Roberts, age 21 of Saint Louis, Missouri, was sentenced in the Iowa District Court by the Honorable David Lester for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a forcible felony by planning or commission, a class C felony, assault using/displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, operating motor vehicle without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, and carrying weapons an aggravated misdemeanor.
Roberts was given a ten year prison sentence for the class C felony and 2 years for each of the aggravated misdemeanors. The aggravated misdemeanors will run concurrent with each other but will be ran consecutively with the class C felony for a total prison sentence not to exceed twelve years.
The State of Iowa was represented by Buena Vista County Attorney Paul A. Allen.
