Lytton Stabbing

    The Sac County Sheriff's office responded to a call from Essentia Protein Solutions in Lytton last (Thur) evening shortly after 9:30 regarding a reported stabbing.

    When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Luke Clark of Lytton, had been stabbed at least twice. Authorities discovered that Clark had been stabbed in the front yard of 610 Railway Street in Lytton. Clark then walked several blocks to Essentia for help. Clark is employed at Essentia, but was not on duty at the time of the incident. Clark was transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City by Sac County ambulance, and then transferred to a Sioux City hospital. Clark's condition is unknown at this time.

    57-year-old David Littlefield was charged in the stabbing. Sheriff's officials located him at his home at 215 Oak Street in Lytton a short time after the stabbing. Officials discovered bloodied clothing and a knife with what appeared to be blood on them.

    Littlefield was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony, and Armed With Intent, a Class D Felony. Littlefield is currently being held in the Sac County jail.

    The Sac County Ambulance, Lytton Fire Department, and the Sac City Police Department all assisted at the scene.
