Buena Vista County Jail Recieves Award

(Storm Lake, IA) -- The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office received an award at the Iowa State Sheriff's and Deputies Association Winter School this past Tuesday.
The Iowa Department of Corrections Chief Jail Inspector awarded Captain Marty De Muth and Sheriff Kory Elston with the 2019 Best Jail in the State of Iowa, Medium Size facility at the event.
The Buena Vista County Sheriffs' Facebook page stated, "The Sheriff's Office is extremely honored to be the recipient of this award. The staff at the jail and sheriff's office work hard each and every day and this award reflects that hard work."
This is the first year this award has been given out.
