Sioux Central Advances in Lego League

(Sioux Central) -- Sioux Central’s FLL teams competed on Saturday, December 7th in Estherville, Iowa. Two teams of students from Sioux Central ranging from 4th-8th grade represented Sioux Central at this regional competition.

One Sioux Central team, “The City Stompers”, walked away with 1st place with the Core Values Award. This award recognizes the team that shows the best at working together and recognizes each other's ideas and opinions, and they come up with the best solutions to a problem.

The second Sioux Central team, “The Lego Clashers”, received the Champion Award. This award recognizes the team that scores in the top 25% of the core values award, the robot missions award, and the project award. They had to solve a problem that cities and towns face.

The Lego Clashers will compete at the state level in January at Iowa State University against 120 teams from across Iowa. Way to go Sioux Central’s FLL teams for a great job this season.
