Storm Lake Teenager Arrested on Fraud Credit Card Charges

(STORM LAKE, IA) -- A Storm Lake teenager has been arrested in connection to fraudulent credit card usage.
On the afternoon of Sunday, September 22, 2019 the Storm Lake Police Department took a report in reference to the unauthorized use of a credit card.
Police were advised by the reporting party that on six occasions the victim’s credit card had been allegedly used at six establishments. The Brew, La Juanita’s, Dollar General, Wal-Mart, Al’s Liquor and Hibbett Sports were the locations in question.
Police investigators reviewed security video at the different stores and observed multiple people present during the alleged use of the credit card.
On Tuesday, October 8, the Storm Lake Police Department arrested a 15 year old male of Storm Lake and charged him with 3 counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. All charges are aggravated misdemeanors. He was processed and released to an adult family member pending a court date in Juvenile Court.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
