Clay County Wanted Man Arrested

A man wanted by the Clay County Sheriff's Office on multiple charges has been arrested.

On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office received a tip from a concerned citizen indicating that 32-year-old Nathan Tesch was staying at the Super 8 hotel in Spirit Lake. Tesch was wanted on multiple arrest warrants out of Clay County for: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felon in Control of a Firearm, Interference with Official Acts, Eluding, Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Maintain Control,Failure to Appear, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 4th Degree Theft.

Members of Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Spirit Lake Police Department responded to the Super 8 hotel in Spirit Lake to investigate. Tesch was later located leaving the Super 8 hotel, and taken into custody without incident. Tesch was transported to the Clay County Jail, where he is being held on 20-thousand 400-dollar bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
