Miller Hood Drug Arrests

Two individuals were arrested on drug charges after a Storm Lake Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Lakeshore Drive for a traffic offense shortly before 4:30 Saturday morning.
Upon contacting the occupant’s, police identified the driver as 28-year-old Eddie Hood of Sioux Rapids, and the passenger as 22-year-old Samantha Miller of Newell.
During the traffic stop, a police K9 was deployed, at which time police allege the K9 indicated that controlled substances were in the vehicle.
Police conducted a consent search of the vehicle locating and seizing approximately 22 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Following an investigation, Hood was arrested and charged with with Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense Marijuana, a class D felony...and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 53-hundred dollar bond.
Police also arrested Miller charging her with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor...and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. She was booked into the county jail on a 13-hundred dollar bond.
