September 17, 2019 9:17am
The Storm Lake City Council has awarded a bid for the 4th and Oates Storm Water Project.
The council approved the lowest bid of Bainbridge Construction LLC from Kingsley for nearly 685-thousand dollars.
This area has experienced extreme flooding for quite awhile. Work will include bio-retention cells, tree trenches, and rain gardens, which will reduce the e-coil entering the lake, as well as reduce flooding.
The project will be funded 75-percent by federal HUD grant dollars, franchise fees, and road use tax.
